Group Tax Director

About the role

Lead the international Group Tax function for a global waste‑to‑X innovator, shaping strategy, risk framework and operating model across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Define tax strategy, roadmap and governance, advising the CFO and senior leadership on major tax risks and opportunities.
• Build and continuously improve a scalable tax operating model for HQ, the shared service centre and the wider group.
• Oversee compliance and reporting for corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and Pillar Two.
• Manage material tax positions, audits, controversies and relationships with tax authorities and external advisers.
• Provide tax leadership on EPC projects, financing, M&A, post‑merger integration and cross‑border restructurings.
• Drive tax transformation through governance, controls, KPIs, technology, data automation and ERP integration (IFS/OneERP).

Required profile

• 15+ years of senior international tax experience in a complex multinational environment.
• Proven leadership of a Group Tax function, including design of governance frameworks and operating models.
• Strong expertise in Swiss and international corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax and Pillar Two.
• Experience with M&A, tax controversy and complex cross‑border business activities.
• Background in engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy or project‑based sectors is preferred.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
