Harness Designer – Wiring Harnesses for Combustion Engines

About the role

A client based in Fribourg is looking for a Harness Designer with a positive attitude, a passion for their work and a strong team spirit. The designer works on wiring harness assemblies for combustion engines, taking technical scheduling and financial aspects into account.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise wiring harness assemblies for combustion engines
• Prepare technical presentations and define the wiring harness topology and technology approach with the E/E design team
• Create and manage 2D drawings and bills of materials
• Design and define cabling components (electrical cables, connectors) according to standards, regulations and functional requirements
• Support the PLM system, create and maintain documentation and component specifications
• Plan, execute and evaluate tests

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Several years of experience in wiring harness design
• Fluent French; good level of English and German

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Zuken E3, PTC Creo Cabling and PLM Albatros
• Knowledge of Zuken E3 and PTC Creo Cabling is a plus
