Head Chef – 4-Day Workweek

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Head Chef to lead the kitchen at NENI in Zürich. You will shape the menu together with our concept partner, ensure flawless service during our bustling 4‑day workweek, and create a vibrant atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

Key responsibilities

• Plan resources, schedule staff and manage the kitchen team on a daily basis.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control and ensure all accounts are accurate.
• Develop and refine the menu in collaboration with the external concept partner, focusing on live cooking and eclectic international cuisine.
• Maintain high culinary standards, guaranteeing every dish looks and tastes magnificent.
• Handle sudden changes in service flow while keeping a positive attitude and supporting colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a professional kitchen and leading a team.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Passion for live cooking, international and eclectic cuisine, and a drive to explore new food concepts.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to inspire both staff and guests.
• Open, honest attitude – willing to admit mistakes and learn from them.
