About the role

As Head of Global Medical Affairs Oncology, you will shape the future of oncology on a worldwide scale. You will lead an integrated medical strategy across the product lifecycle, providing scientific leadership from early portfolio decisions through launch and beyond, and building trusted partnerships across the global oncology ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive a global medical affairs strategy aligned with US and International priorities.
• Provide expert medical input to early development programmes and identify innovative evidence‑generation opportunities.
• Ensure a consistent global medical voice in programme governance, reflecting clinical practice, patient needs and real‑world insights.
• Design, approve and execute global medical affairs studies with scientific integrity and full compliance.
• Develop integrated evidence‑generation plans, close evidence gaps and support patient‑centric outcomes.
• Lead medical communications and scientific engagement, leveraging AI‑enabled approaches for data dissemination and education.
• Inspire and develop a high‑performing global team, fostering innovation, accountability and continuous development.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor qualification with strong scientific credibility.
• 10+ years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development or clinical practice within pharma, biotech or academia.
• Proven leadership of global teams and talent development.
• Direct oncology therapeutic area experience and an established external scientific network.
• Deep expertise in evidence generation, including clinical trials and real‑world evidence studies.
• Demonstrated ability to shape global medical strategy across the product lifecycle.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Strong understanding of ethics, compliance and governance requirements.
