Head of Cyber Security Engineering

About the role

Lead the bank’s Cyber Engineering function to design, build and operate secure‑by‑design platforms that proactively prevent, detect and respond to cyber threats across hybrid on‑prem and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a cyber engineering roadmap aligned with the bank’s risk appetite and business goals.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing team covering security engineering, DevSecOps and cyber platform operations.
• Own budget, vendor strategy and capacity planning for cyber tooling and platforms.
• Industrialise security controls through automation, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD integration, shifting security left in the development lifecycle.
• Manage the lifecycle of enterprise‑class security platforms such as EDR/XDR, PAM, CSPM, DLP and HSM, ensuring availability, scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Visionary leader with 7‑10 years of technical experience and 5+ years in information security, preferably in regulated financial environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to translate technical risk into business impact.
• Self‑motivated with an ownership mindset, high integrity and resilience under pressure.
