Head of Finance

About the role

DSwiss, a Swiss infrastructure provider for secure exchange, delivery and storage of confidential information, is looking for a hands-on Head of Finance to take full ownership of its Finance function and join the Management Team. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the role shapes a modern, lean and highly automated Finance setup as the company scales internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of Finance, including planning, forecasting, reporting, accounting, cash flow and liquidity management
• Drive simplification, automation and digitalization of Finance processes and reduce manual work
• Review and optimize the Finance operating model, systems, external providers and end-to-end processes
• Drive cost transparency and optimization, challenging existing spend, suppliers and structures
• Develop meaningful SaaS and business KPIs to support management decisions
• Ensure efficient monthly and year-end closing and compliance with Swiss accounting and statutory requirements
• Own the international Finance setup, providing functional leadership to the Finance resource in Portugal and managing auditors, tax advisors and fiduciaries
• Contribute to company-wide decisions as a sparring partner to the CEO and other functional leaders, and support reporting to the Board, shareholders, banks and other stakeholders

Required profile

• Several years of relevant Finance experience in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and the Swiss Code of Obligations
• Fluency in German and English (C1)
• Experience in SaaS, software or technology, or a strong understanding of SaaS metrics and economics
• Demonstrated experience improving, automating and simplifying Finance processes
• Experience in an international Finance setup, coordinating internal and external Finance resources
• Pragmatic, analytical, comfortable challenging the status quo and taking end-to-end ownership in a lean organization

Required skills

• Cash flow, forecasting, financial modelling and cost management
• Abacus; familiarity with Chargebee, Datatrans or comparable billing, payment and Finance platforms is a strong advantage
