Head of Flexible Funding and Visibility Team (Expedited)

About the role

The Head of the Flexible Funding and Visibility Team will lead IOM’s efforts to secure and manage flexible, multi‑year resources that sustain core migration services. Reporting to the Resource Mobilisation Division, this senior position is part of an expedited internal recruitment process and will drive the implementation of the IOM Resilience Campaign and the Global Appeal 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to increase flexible and unearmarked funding for IOM’s core operations.
• Coordinate with the Office of Strategic Planning, Finance, Legal, HR and regional offices to align funding mechanisms with organizational priorities.
• Lead the visibility and communication components of the Resilience Campaign, ensuring donor engagement and reporting.
• Oversee the integration of lessons learned into funding allocation and administration processes.
• Monitor and report on funding performance, risk, and results in line with IOM’s oversight functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in resource mobilisation, fundraising or financial management within an international or UN‑related context.
• Strong understanding of flexible funding models and multi‑year budgeting.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple divisions and with external partners, including Member States.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills
