About the role

The Head of Global Test Labs & Verification leads a worldwide network of laboratories responsible for product verification, measurement technologies, and data‑driven testing. This senior position combines strategic planning, operational leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration within an international engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the long‑term strategy for the company’s global testing and verification landscape.
• Manage laboratory teams across multiple regions and product categories.
• Drive modernization initiatives, including digital lab environments, automation, infrastructure expansion, and advanced analytics.
• Establish globally aligned testing procedures, quality standards, safety guidelines, and reporting frameworks.
• Partner with engineering, product development, supply chain, and customer‑facing technical teams to support validation and qualification activities.
• Support new product introductions through robust verification and reliability testing programs.
• Evaluate and implement emerging testing methodologies, instrumentation, and software solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Proven leadership experience across multiple teams or product lines.
• Background in vacuum technology.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, data acquisition, and scripting or programming tools (e.g., Python).
• Experience driving process optimisation or agile transformation in complex technical environments.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder‑management skills within matrix structures.
• Practical, execution‑oriented mindset with the ability to lead strategically and operationally.
• Fluency in English and professional‑level German communication.
