Head of Goodwill Ambassador and Celebrity Engagement

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a senior leader to head its Goodwill Ambassador and Celebrity Engagement function. Reporting to the Director General, the role will shape and drive strategic outreach with high‑profile ambassadors and celebrities to amplify IOM’s migration agenda worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global strategy for goodwill ambassador and celebrity partnerships aligned with IOM’s private‑sector and advocacy priorities.
• Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with ambassadors, celebrities, and influencers, ensuring mutually beneficial collaborations.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to design high‑impact campaigns, events, and communications that showcase IOM’s work.
• Provide expertise and guidance to Headquarters, Regional and Country Offices on partnership initiation, negotiation, and maintenance.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of engagement activities, delivering insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in partnership development, public affairs, or communications, preferably within an international or UN‑related organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high‑visibility individuals and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of migration issues and the role of the private sector in advancing humanitarian objectives.
• Excellent intercultural communication skills and fluency in English.
