Head of Internal Audit

About the role

The Head of Internal Audit will design and execute a risk‑based audit strategy that aligns with the Group’s key risks and business priorities. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures independent assurance, provides advisory insights, and leads investigations where required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an annual audit plan focused on core processes such as P2P, O2C, R2R, inventory, HR, sales, logistics and fixed assets.
• Lead audit engagements across regions and functions, delivering clear reports, practical recommendations and follow‑up on action items.
• Provide independent assurance and constructive advice on governance, risk management, controls and process improvement.
• Support or lead investigations in collaboration with the Compliance Department, ensuring evidence‑based documentation.
• Maintain audit methodology, reporting standards and work‑paper quality; leverage data analytics and ERP insights to enhance planning and risk identification.
• Build trusted relationships with the Audit Committee, senior management and regional leaders; communicate audit matters clearly.
• Coach, develop and inspire the Internal Audit team, using assignments for talent growth.

Required profile

• Significant experience in internal audit, risk management, internal controls or related governance functions.
• Background in multinational, industrial, manufacturing, mining or complex operational environments is preferred.
• Proven track record leading risk‑based audits across core business processes.
• Experience conducting investigations and reporting to senior stakeholders and Audit Committees.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CFE, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CRMA or equivalent is desirable.
