Head of Internal Communications

About the role

The Head of Internal Communications will lead and scale global internal storytelling for On, reporting directly to the CHRO. Acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team and founders, this senior role shapes executive voice, co‑creates change‑management strategies and guides major company moments across digital, written and in‑person channels.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the internal channel ecosystem and tone of voice for global teams.
• Co‑create and execute the global editorial strategy across live events, written pieces and creative media (video, audio).
• Partner with senior executives to author and codify core organisational frameworks.
• Direct content strategy for major internal events such as Global Town Halls, AMAs and inspiration formats.
• Lead speechwriting and cultural engagement for senior leaders, translating thought leadership into compelling narratives.
• Guide communications through change and reactive scenarios, providing clarity and calm.
• Build collaborative partnerships with HR, External Communications, Events, Investor Relations and Marketing.
• Recruit, mentor and empower a distributed internal communications team across global offices and time zones.

Required profile

• 15+ years leading internal or corporate communications for a fast‑growing global brand.
• Proven storytelling mastery with a portfolio that translates complex strategies into clear internal narratives.
• Executive presence and experience coaching C‑suite leaders through hyper‑growth and change.
• Leadership experience building and developing high‑performing, distributed communications teams.
• Deep expertise in event strategy and large‑scale employee gathering production.
• Broad business acumen across corporate strategy, investor relations, operations and organisational design.
• Innovative mindset willing to test new formats and drive cultural engagement.
• Professional fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
