Head of IT Treasury

About the role

Trafigura is recruiting the IT counterpart to the Global Head of Treasury Technology: the technology delivery owner for the Group Treasury transformation, based in Finance & Corporate Technology. The two roles work together, with the business-side Head owning the roadmap, requirements, adoption and value, while this role owns technical delivery, integration and platform health. The scope covers Kyriba as the group treasury management and payment hub, the integration layer feeding it from the ERP, trading and back-office estate, reconciliation, emerging settlement rails including digital assets, and AI-assisted automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the IT delivery plan (priorities, sequencing, budget, resourcing) and protect ring-fenced capacity, and build the delivery, business analysis and architecture capability.
• Define one baselined target integration design, delivered incrementally, with decisions recorded.
• Own the upstream integration layer and middleware as a product, including observability and dual routing while legacy and target run in parallel, and lead system integration testing.
• Own reference and static data integration into Kyriba, including sync models, master data and stale copies.
• Deliver AI-assisted automation such as receipt matching, same-day cash application, intraday reconciliation and decision support.
• Deliver Kyriba payment hub integration end to end on ISO 20022 (pain and camt) with MT-to-MX migration, and integrate emerging settlement rails including a digital-asset custody platform.
• Carry the reconciliation estate through the statement-format migration and decommission legacy payment platforms.
• Own payment signing and key architecture with the CISO, and the post-go-live run and support model.
• Set the path to production for AI-assisted and business-built treasury applications, and manage vendors and partners on technical assurance and commercial control.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 10+ years in treasury, payments and financial technology, leading multi-workstream transformation in a multi-vendor environment.
• Experience delivering a TMS or payment hub through vendor and implementation partners, and managing global teams and banking relationships.
• Strong programme and dependency management, credible estimating, and the standing to challenge design and hold a clear line on scope.

Required skills

• Treasury and payments depth: payment lifecycles, cash and liquidity, bank connectivity, reconciliation and matching, FX and interest-rate risk.
• SWIFT and ISO 20022 in practice (MT and MX, pain, camt), MT-to-MX migration and corporate BIC onboarding.
• ERP and back-office integration via APIs, ETL and iPaaS.
• Kyriba or a comparable TMS and payment hub, integration architecture and SaaS integration security.
• Desirable: digital-asset custody integration and AI-assisted delivery and its governance.
