Head of Mobile Engineering (React Native)

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Mobile Engineering to lead the development of LocalBini’s React Native app, targeting a launch for the fall/Christmas season 2026. You will build a scalable, high‑quality mobile experience and work closely with a cross‑functional team, including a product designer, using our component library and Figma.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the remote development team and the Switzerland office to design the software solution.
• Build the React Native mobile app from scratch using the current MVP.
• Implement tracking tools to analyze user behavior.
• Write comprehensive technical documentation.
• Contribute to an international platform with worldwide reach.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial mobile lead development experience with a focus on React Native.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with the specified technology stack.
• Proficiency in responsive web design techniques.
• Experience developing Android (Java, Kotlin) and/or iOS (Objective‑C, Swift) applications.
• Analytical thinking, problem‑solving attitude, and fluent English (German a plus).
• Willingness to work onsite in St. Gallen or remotely, full‑time or part‑time.
