Head of Network Configuration – Diagnostics Supply Chain

About the role

Roche is seeking a senior leader to head the Network Configuration function within its Diagnostics Supply Chain. Reporting to the Head of Network Orchestration, you will oversee the continuous operation, monitoring and improvement of a global distribution network that spans affiliates, regions, hubs and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Establish global governance frameworks and SOPs for distribution network parameter configuration.
• Define and steer core distribution parameters such as transportation modes, replenishment lot sizes, safety stocks and routing paths to reduce cost and CO₂ emissions.
• Optimize end‑to‑end goods flow to ensure rapid response to regulatory changes or shifting customer demand.
• Leverage advanced analytics for real‑time monitoring of configuration variables and crisis management.
• Maintain a robust link with Master Data Management to securely govern active distribution parameters.
• Design multi‑node supply‑chain architectures that balance service levels, inventory and cost across hub‑to‑hub, OEM‑to‑affiliate and regional pathways.
• Collaborate with affiliates and global functions including Product Planning, Hub Operations, Commercial Supply Chain and Order Execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading large‑scale supply‑chain network configuration or orchestration.
• Strong strategic mindset with ability to influence global stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical capabilities and data‑driven decision making.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost‑effective, resilient distribution solutions.
