Head of Quality Assurance

About the role

The Associate Director, Head of Quality Assurance & Fachtechnisch verantwortliche Person (FvP) leads the Quality function for Accord Healthcare in Switzerland, ensuring compliance with Swiss pharmaceutical regulations, GMP, GDP and Swissmedic requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the local Quality team while fostering a strong quality and compliance culture.
• Act as the Swissmedic‑approved FvP, representing the company to regulatory authorities.
• Oversee the Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement and ensure batch release for the Swiss market.
• Manage inspections, audits, supplier qualification, investigations, CAPA activities and risk management.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Pharmacovigilance, Commercial and Global Quality teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Chemistry or related field.
• Swissmedic‑approved FvP status or eligibility.
• 8‑10+ years of Quality Assurance experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including Swiss experience.
• Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Swiss pharmaceutical regulations, GMP and GDP.
• Experience with batch release, audits, inspections and regulatory interactions.
• Proficiency in supplier qualification, quality investigations, CAPA and risk management.
