Head of Sales Operations

About the role

Comet AG is seeking a customer‑ and team‑oriented Head of Sales Operations for its Plasma Control Technologies division. The role can be based at the Flamatt (Switzerland) or Penang (Malaysia) site and will lead a global team that supports capital equipment, spares, upgrades, and service activities.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑performing global Sales Operations team.
• Oversee order management and quote‑to‑collect processes, ensuring compliance with contracts, export controls and trade regulations.
• Own data governance for pricing, customer master data, product configuration and overall data quality.
• Improve forecasting, bookings, backlog visibility, shipment prioritisation and customer communication on delivery commitments.
• Drive cross‑functional process improvements in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Trade Compliance and Field Service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years experience in Sales Operations, Commercial Operations, Customer Service or Supply Chain, preferably in semiconductor or capital equipment.
• 5+ years leadership experience in global or matrixed teams; German language skills are a significant advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (highly desirable).
• Strong Excel skills.
