Head of Subscriber Growth

About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Head of Subscriber Growth will lead Monocle’s most important commercial priority – expanding the global subscriber base. This high‑visibility position works closely with editorial, digital, creative and customer teams to drive acquisition, retention and renewal while upholding the brand’s premium value.

Key responsibilities

• Own subscriber‑revenue targets across print and digital products and deliver acquisition, retention and renewal strategies.
• Plan and execute multi‑channel campaigns (email, onsite, paid) and optimise pricing, proposition and packaging.
• Analyse performance data, identify opportunities and translate insights into decisive actions.
• Establish clear reporting, communicate results to senior stakeholders and continuously improve the subscription lifecycle funnel.
• Shape the future subscriber‑growth function, building the specialist capability needed to support Monocle’s ambitions.

Required profile

• Proven ownership of subscriber or recurring‑revenue growth in a premium subscription‑led business.
• Strong commercial judgement with a clear understanding of acquisition, conversion, retention and lifetime value drivers.
• Analytical mindset capable of turning complex data into actionable priorities.
• Confidence to work autonomously, set direction and maintain momentum in a fast‑moving environment.
