Head of Technical Investment Procurement

About the role

Takeda is seeking a senior leader to drive enterprise‑wide Technical Investment Procurement. The role carries end‑to‑end accountability for maximizing value from external spend across technical services, capital projects, utilities, facilities and real estate worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute differentiated, insight‑driven category strategies aligned with enterprise priorities, embedding lifecycle thinking and capex/opex trade‑offs.
• Manage approximately $3.2 B of global Technical Services spend and lead the category team as part of the Procurement Leadership Team.
• Partner with the Heads of Engineering and Real Estate & Facilities to co‑own value delivery, asset performance, reliability and lifecycle cost optimisation.
• Deliver savings and total‑cost‑of‑ownership improvements through holistic spend management, demand shaping and disciplined payment terms.
• Build a high‑performing, rationalised supplier base, implement performance‑based models, and run SRM, KPIs and QBRs with strategic suppliers.
• Extract supplier‑led innovation (predictive maintenance, automation, energy efficiency) and scale it across sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale technical or industrial procurement functions with multi‑billion‑dollar spend.
• Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen and ability to influence senior business partners.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable cost, productivity and ESG outcomes.
