High Voltage Lab Engineer (Electrical Technician) - Research Lab

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a high voltage lab engineer (electrical technician) in Baden-Daettwil, Aargau, Switzerland. You will be a full member of a team of scientists and technicians developing future technology for high voltage products, testing new ideas and implementing new measurement and diagnostics methods while keeping the testing environment functional and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Run and maintain state-of-the-art high voltage labs
• Take part in planning, preparation and execution of high voltage tests
• Work closely with a team of scientists and technicians from research
• Help define safe testing practices in the lab during all phases of experiments, with the support of local HSE partners and the research team
• Interact with partners in adjacent Hitachi Energy high voltage labs and business units

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (FH) in electrical engineering
• Proven experience in lab work, including setting up experiments with advanced measurement methods
• Conversational English is required; good German is very appreciated
• Past experience in a high voltage lab is advantageous

Required skills

• Lab integrated programming with LabView, Matlab or Python is very welcome
• Data analysis skills are a plus
