HR Business Partner – Swiss Restaurants (80-100% FTE)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People Team and act as a trusted advisor to franchisees, restaurant leaders, and internal stakeholders across German‑speaking Switzerland. You will help implement McDonald’s HR strategy, drive people initiatives, and ensure an outstanding employee experience throughout the region.
Key responsibilities
- Provide HR guidance on employee relations, talent development, performance management, compliance and administration for franchisees and restaurant leadership.
- Drive implementation of McDonald’s HR strategy and key people initiatives across the restaurant network.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support decision‑making and address organisational needs.
- Lead and contribute to local and national HR projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and business objectives.
- Support resolution of complex employee‑relations matters and maintain a positive, compliant work environment.
- Keep HR policies, procedures and documentation up to date with legal and business requirements.
- Deliver training, share best practices and develop people capabilities across the restaurant network.
Required profile
- University degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Consultant in a multi‑site, fast‑paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Swiss labour law and HR best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, coaching and influencing abilities.
- Analytical, problem‑solving mindset with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
- Native German speaker with professional English proficiency; French or Italian is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Switzerland.
