ICT Project Manager – Structured Cabling

About the role

Mercury is seeking an ICT Project Manager to lead structured cabling projects for telecommunications infrastructure across Europe. The role involves managing client expectations, site operations, schedules, budgets and subcontractor activities.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and manage client specifications for telecommunications infrastructure cabling.
• Oversee daily site operations, including safety and quality management.
• Maintain project schedule and control all associated costs (labour, material, procurement, plant, equipment, variations, valuations).
• Coordinate subcontractor activities, track progress against schedule and staffing levels.
• Attend site meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Develop and implement company procedures and ensure proper change management (cost & programme).
• Close out projects – final account, O&M manuals, punch list, safety and QA files, material/plant relocations, project plan.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar ICT project management role.
• Extensive experience with telecommunications infrastructure cabling.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness and ability to travel freely between European countries.

Required skills

• Telecommunications infrastructure cabling expertise.
• Computer skills – Windows operating system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
