Incident Manager - Detection & Response

About the role

Anthropic is looking for an Incident Manager to lead the Detection & Response (D&R) team in protecting its AI systems, users, and data. The role focuses on managing the full incident response lifecycle—from detection and triage through containment, remediation, and post‑incident analysis—while driving systemic improvements across engineering, security, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate the end‑to‑end incident response process, including detection, triage, containment, remediation, and post‑incident review.
• Collect and analyze incident data to identify trends, root causes, and recurring patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams to implement broad fixes and systemic enhancements.
• Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and reporting dashboards for incident metrics.
• Lead post‑mortem meetings and ensure actionable recommendations are tracked and executed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Significant experience managing security or operational incidents in a technology‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, security, and product stakeholders.
• Comfort with hybrid work model and willingness to be onsite in Zurich at least 25% of the time.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship if required.
