Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager leads risk‑based audit engagements and supports special assignments, ensuring independent, value‑adding assurance for the organization. The role combines planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow‑up to evaluate governance, risk management and internal controls across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to developing and executing the risk‑based audit plan, including risk assessments and scoping.
• Lead audit engagements or manage workstreams from planning through fieldwork, reporting and follow‑up.
• Design and perform audit procedures such as interviews, walkthroughs, data analysis and control testing.
• Evaluate governance arrangements, risk management processes, policies and internal controls across business functions.
• Identify root causes of issues, assess impact and formulate practical, risk‑focused recommendations.
• Prepare high‑quality working papers documenting audit approach, evidence and conclusions.
• Draft audit findings, discuss observations with management and support timely finalisation of reports.
• Monitor follow‑up of agreed actions, validate remediation evidence and report overdue issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of internal or external audit experience, with proven engagement leadership.
• Experience in a regulated financial‑services environment such as a bank, asset‑management firm or audit firm; knowledge of Swiss regulations is a plus.
• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, risk management or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, CFE, CAMS) is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of internal audit principles, risk management, governance and internal‑control frameworks.
• Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a benefit.
• Swiss residence required; up to 20 % business travel may be expected.
