International Product Manager, Molecular Workarea

About the role

Roche is looking for an International Product Manager (IPM) for its Molecular Workarea portfolio, which sits at the heart of modern molecular diagnostics. Reporting to the International Business Leader, you will manage the global strategy for these market-leading platforms and the wider PCR Systems portfolio. The position is based in Rotkreuz.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the global product strategy for the Molecular Workarea portfolio, ensuring long-term market leadership and alignment with the Molecular Work Area vision.
• Work with R&D, Global Customer Support and Operations teams to drive the full product lifecycle, from new feature development and on-market support to long-term strategic planning.
• Gather customer and business requirements from affiliates, key customers and other Lifecycle Teams and turn them into business cases and product features.
• Act as product champion and main contact for regional and affiliate partners, giving them the tools, training and support needed to succeed commercially.
• Contribute to the Product Care & Quality Team by helping prioritise and resolve on-market issues.
• Drive the strategic marketing direction: work with Global Marketing Managers on positioning, messaging and launch strategies, and own competitive analysis and countermeasures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering or business discipline; MBA preferred.
• More than 5 years of product management, marketing or related commercial experience in the medical diagnostics or device industry.
• Fluent English.
• Global experience, such as a global role or direct work with multiple country affiliates or business units.

Required skills

• Direct experience with cobas 5800/6800/8800 systems or other automated molecular diagnostic platforms.
• Strong understanding of IVD instrument hardware, software and laboratory workflows, including LIS/middleware interfacing.
• Understanding of design control processes for regulated medical devices.
• Ability to prioritise requirements, make strategic trade-offs and communicate with diverse global stakeholders.
