International Tax Specialist - Private Equity Cross-Border

About the role

coni + partner, a consultancy based in Zurich with subsidiaries in Dusseldorf and Shanghai, is recruiting on behalf of its client, the asset management division of an international bank in Zurich. The position is for an International Tax Specialist covering cross-border tax matters for private equity fund investments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle international tax matters (EU and US) related to private equity fund investments
• Coordinate and review annual tax returns for various countries and organize tax reporting for investors
• Support the accounting team with tax provisions
• Ensure compliance with CRS and FATCA, including annual filings and form reviews
• Provide tax support to front-office teams for tax due diligence and structuring linked to product development, transactions and fund investments
• Monitor and analyze legislative changes for their relevance to the company
• Optimize tax control processes and collaborate on departmental updates

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in law or economics, with specialization in International Tax; an LL.M. in Tax Law is a plus
• 3-5 years of professional experience at a Big Four firm or a renowned tax consulting firm, with a focus on the fund industry (e.g. UCITS, AIF funds)
• In-depth knowledge of EU and US tax law, CRS/FATCA compliance and experience with the Luxembourg tax jurisdiction
• Analytical, proactive and detail-oriented, with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Fluency in English
