Internet Resources Intern – Research & Data Analysis

About the role

The International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM) seeks an Internet Resources Intern to support its Information Systems Management Section. The intern will conduct open‑source research, analyse data, and assist with information‑governance processes, culminating in a final presentation for the IIIM.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct targeted internet and open‑source research on political, economic, social, technological and legal issues related to the Syrian context.
• Synthesise literature and produce concise summaries for internal use.
• Assist with information‑governance frameworks, data analysis tasks and basic script development.
• Compile research findings into a final presentation for the IIIM.
• Complete assigned tasks on time, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with team members.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recent graduate of a programme with relevant coursework (e.g., international relations, journalism, law, political science, information governance, data science, computer science, or related fields).
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
