IT Infrastructure Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Team Leader to drive the stability, security and efficiency of our technology environment. Based in Bern with a hybrid work model, you will lead a dedicated team, manage critical infrastructure components and act as the bridge between IT, business units and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and evaluate a team of infrastructure specialists.
• Ensure continuous, secure operation of servers, networks, storage and security systems.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations and optimisations.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and enforce service level agreements.
• Define and enforce IT standards, processes and best‑practice frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Control budgets, capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Serve as the primary interface for business stakeholders and senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a team leader or manager in an IT infrastructure setting.
• Strong background in networks, servers, data‑centre operations and security.
• Hands‑on leadership with a focus on performance reviews and talent development.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and make decisive decisions.
