IT Specialist – Automotive

About the role

An international automotive group with strong growth across global markets is looking for a hands-on, proactive IT Specialist to manage its IT infrastructure, support ERP implementation and drive the adoption of digital solutions, including artificial intelligence. Reporting directly to the CFO, the role ensures reliable day-to-day IT operations while contributing to the company's digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the IT infrastructure, hardware, software and networks, and set up workstations, servers, network equipment and communication systems.
• Provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshoot issues and ensure IT security, data protection, backups and system reliability.
• Coordinate with external IT providers and technology partners.
• Support the selection, implementation and ongoing optimization of the ERP system, working with Finance, Operations and other departments; coordinate configuration, data migration, integration, testing and user training.
• Act as the internal point of contact for ERP matters and continuous improvements.
• Identify opportunities for AI tools and automation, evaluate and introduce practical AI solutions, and help employees adopt digital tools and AI applications.
• Coordinate IT projects, evaluate new technologies, manage vendor relationships and work with the CFO on IT priorities, investments and digital initiatives.

Required profile

• Education in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
• Several years of experience as an IT Specialist, ICT Administrator or similar.
• Previous experience in the automotive industry or a related sector is a strong advantage.
• Interest in AI, automation and digital transformation, ideally with practical exposure.
• Good understanding of IT security and data protection.
• Fluency in English and German.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, hardware, networking, Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Experience with ERP systems and their implementation or administration.
• Independent, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
