IT Support Expert – First Level Support

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Expert to join our Chiasso office. The role provides first‑level IT support and ensures a smooth day‑to‑day experience for all employees, handling devices, accounts, collaboration tools and standard workplace services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for internal users, managing incidents, service requests and troubleshooting notebooks, peripherals, meeting‑room equipment, VPN, printers and business applications.
• Support device lifecycle operations: preparation, enrollment, hand‑over, stock coordination, replacements, refreshes and asset tracking.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end employee onboarding and off‑boarding, including workstation readiness, account setup, access provisioning and equipment return.
• Perform standard user administration tasks such as password resets, permission changes, mailbox support and maintain clear documentation.
• Monitor system alerts, initiate first‑line response, escalate to specialised teams and communicate status to users and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in IT support or service desk.
• Hands‑on experience in first‑level user support, incident handling and request fulfillment.
• Good understanding of Windows‑based workplace environments and common business applications.
• Experience with onboarding/off‑boarding processes, access control and asset tracking.
• Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
