IT Support

About the role

Kanadevia Inova, a global player in waste infrastructure and waste-to-X technology, is looking for an IT Support professional in Zurich. The role combines hands-on IT support with coordination of vendors and consultants, and acts as a senior operational coordinator supporting team priorities and guiding the team in the manager's absence.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain workstation systems, servers and network components.
• Implement configuration specifications for systems and user interfaces.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues and initiate escalation procedures for unresolved problems.
• Coordinate vendor and consultant activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and track hardware, software and network availability and inventory.
• Develop and maintain operations manuals, instructions and checklists.
• Assist users with procurement projects and solution implementations.
• Create simple scripts and applications for user needs on workstations and mobile devices.
• Act as senior operational coordinator, supporting team priorities and providing guidance in the manager's absence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science or vocational training (apprenticeship).
• Proven 4+ years of experience in a similar senior IT role in a mid- to large-sized company (150+ users).
• Experience managing third-party services.
• Fluent English with good German.

• Knowledge of ITIL and process improvement methodologies.
• Assertive, independent and methodical work style; ability to coordinate and guide team members without formal line management responsibility.
