IT System Administrator / Engineer (80-100%)

About the role

nanoTRONIC AG is seeking a proactive IT System Administrator / Engineer to maintain and evolve its network infrastructure across multiple locations. You will work in interdisciplinary project teams supporting highly regulated industries such as space, medical technology, and railways.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the company’s network infrastructure.
• Plan, evaluate, and implement IT services at all sites.
• Document and initiate further improvements to the IT environment.
• Monitor services, handle incidents, and perform regular maintenance.
• Provide 2nd/3rd‑level support and assist 1st‑level support teams.

Required profile

• Computer science EFZ or comparable degree (BSc/MSc in Computer Science).
• Several years of professional experience in IT systems.
• Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension, and a self‑driven, project‑oriented work style.
• Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of network technologies and cyber security.
• Proficient with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically QEMU and LXC.
• Familiarity with Windows Server (advantage).
