Java Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Zühlke, a Swiss technology and consulting group founded in 1968, is looking for a Java Fullstack Engineer in Schlieren. As part of a team, you will design and implement customer projects in the web and enterprise environment using modern, agile project methods. You will collaborate closely with customers, visiting them about 2-3 times per week.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into high-quality software with the help of developers, writing clean, maintainable and efficient code using pair- and mob-programming.
• Incorporate feedback from team members to grow on the project.
• Support the full software lifecycle with a DevOps mindset, from ideation to production.
• Automate quality checks early, for example with test-driven development and specification by example.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and share your knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2-3 years of proven experience as a Java developer with a good understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices.
• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React or similar on the frontend.
• Some knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Some experience with agile methodologies and agile development teams.
• Fluent German and English (at least C1 level).
