Lead Data & AI Architect

About the role

Zühlke, a Swiss-founded global transformation partner, is looking for a Lead Data & AI Architect in Schlieren. You will architect data and AI platforms that underpin advanced applications, from analytics to generative and agentic AI, and turn data integrations, analytical data products, machine learning and agentic systems into production. You also help shape Zühlke's offerings, drive service development, engage in pre-sales and support the growth of internal talent.

Key responsibilities

• Design sophisticated architectures for data and AI projects and implement them with your team
• Apply a DevOps mindset and take data and AI platforms, data products, data mesh, data security and governance seriously
• Design scalable cloud solutions on AWS, Azure and GCP, and ensure robust data structures and pipelines
• Move ML and GenAI solutions from prototype to production, with evaluation, observability, traceability and reproducibility
• Share knowledge internally and externally, help develop junior colleagues and advise clients on data and AI possibilities

Required profile

• Solid expertise in AI and data solutions, with a clear view of their possibilities and limits
• Technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a comparable field
• Fluent German and English
• Ability to balance availability, flexibility, security and cost in architectural decisions

Required skills

• Python, Spark, Iceberg, Delta Lake, dbt and streaming with Kafka
• Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Foundry, Amazon SageMaker or Snowflake
• Familiarity with GenAI tooling such as vector stores and agent frameworks
