Junior Accountant

About the role

As part of our continued growth, a new opening has arisen in our Accounting team at our headquarters in Lugano. This position is open to junior professionals with 1–3 years of experience in accounting, audit, or similar roles. The nature of the role will require you to work both as part of a closely knit team and individually.

Key responsibilities

• Record, review and reconcile accounting transactions in compliance with company policies and IFRS accounting standards.
• Prepare and coordinate daily payment instructions with banking counterparties, monitor cash movements, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Support quarterly closing activities and assist in the preparation of IFRS and Local GAAP statutory financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes by providing documentation, analyses, and explanations as required.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests from management, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the enhancement, standardization, and automation of accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or Management.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or audit.
• High degree of accuracy, discretion and confidentiality with excellent teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English and Italian.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
