Junior Compliance Officer – Employee Related Conflicts

About the role

Julius Baer's Employee-related Conflicts of Interest team within Central Compliance in Zurich is looking for a Compliance Officer. The role oversees Mandates, Secondary Occupations, Substantial Shareholdings, Gifts and Hospitality, and Conflicts of Interest, ensuring the highest compliance standards across operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the compliance frameworks, policies and procedures for Mandates, Secondary Occupations, Gifts & Entertainment and Conflicts of Interest
• Act as the main contact for employees, internal stakeholders and Compliance Officers across locations, coordinating global alignment and delivering relevant training
• Run and monitor day-to-day compliance processes, including reviews, control execution, reporting and ad-hoc investigations, adjusting controls as needed
• Track regulatory developments and industry standards and implement measures to keep the framework effective
• Contribute to compliance projects and support initiatives on process digitalisation and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in banking compliance; international private banking experience preferred
• Experience with employee compliance topics and processes
• Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage
