Junior Compliance Officer - Employee Related Conflicts

About the role

Julius Baer's Employee-related Conflicts of Interest team within Central Compliance in Zurich is looking for a Compliance Officer (100% position, f/m/d). The role ensures the maintenance and ongoing development of the Personal Account Transactions Framework and the highest compliance standards across operations.

Key responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of personal account transactions executed by employees
• Handling violations of personal account policies, including sanctions and escalation where necessary
• Maintaining ad-hoc confidentiality areas and information barriers
• Reporting management transactions to SIX
• Assessing potential insider monitoring alerts and maintaining insider, restricted and watch lists
• Supporting foreign units in implementing group standards on employee transactions
• Proposing improvements to existing processes
• Developing, revising and implementing policies, guidelines and manuals
• Delivering compliance training for employees
• Providing group-wide expert support to compliance colleagues at headquarters and outside Switzerland
• Contributing to compliance projects and supporting digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Law or Business Administration
• Long-term banking experience in various operational and trading functions
• At least 3 years of banking experience in compliance
• Experience with employee compliance topics and processes
• Fluent English; knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage
