Junior Financial Controller

About the role

Sentec, a Swiss‑American medical device company, is looking for a Junior Financial Controller to support manufacturing and operational controlling activities. You will ensure accurate inventory valuation, cost transparency, and margin analysis while providing financial support to production, sourcing, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support accurate inventory valuation and maintain standard costs.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard costs) and explain key differences.
• Prepare manufacturing cost reporting, including component‑level analysis.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process and analyze variances between actual results, budget, and forecast.
• Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts; identify opportunities for process automation.
• Support internal and external audit processes and contribute to inventory depreciation and warranty provision assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling.
• 2‑5 years of controlling or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard costing methodologies.
• Proficiency with reporting tools.
• Financial analysis and modeling capabilities.
