Junior IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior IT Support Engineer to join our European servicing hub. You will work at the intersection of finance, mathematics and technology, providing first‑line support for our trading infrastructure and office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first responder on the IT support queue, triaging and resolving common issues.
• Support end users with third‑party trading applications, handling installations, upgrades and connectivity checks.
• Manage the full lifecycle of office and workstation equipment – provisioning, imaging, configuration, troubleshooting, replacement and decommissioning.
• Administer end‑user accounts, access rights and software licences (AD groups, password/MFA resets, SaaS seats).
• Provide in‑person assistance for workstation, peripheral and hardware problems.
• Perform hands‑on datacenter tasks such as cabling, racking, cleaning and replacing UPS batteries or failed components.
• Maintain up‑to‑date internal documentation and assist in monitoring infrastructure.
• Automate repetitive tasks (imaging, provisioning, onboarding) under team guidance.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for repairs and deliveries.

Required profile

• IT‑related education or relevant experience.
• Good manual skills and willingness to perform physical work (cabling, racking, hardware replacement).
• Basic familiarity with Linux (Debian) command line and Windows troubleshooting (Active Directory concepts, logs, services).
• Willingness to learn scripting (Python, Bash) and embrace automation.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and proactive in asking questions.
