Junior Power Originator

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Power Originator to support wholesale power origination across Europe for MET International AG. The role focuses on structured power transactions such as BESS tolling, PPAs, bespoke off‑take solutions and other structured products, while managing the internal deal life‑cycle and coordinating stakeholders across the MET Group.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the origination and execution of structured power transactions, contributing to the desk’s commercial performance.
• Support senior originators in building and maintaining relationships with IPPs, developers, utilities and other market participants.
• Prepare term sheets, indicative pricing, internal approvals, deal summaries and product pitches in collaboration with the Power Desk.
• Maintain and develop the origination pipeline in the CRM, ensuring timely tracking and progression of opportunities.
• Produce regular reports based on CRM data and present market insights.
• Work closely with trading, risk, legal, operations and credit teams to structure, negotiate and implement transactions.
• Support product onboarding and related internal project‑management activities.
• Monitor market developments, identify commercial opportunities and contribute to market analysis for origination strategy.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in European power markets, preferably in origination, trading or structuring.
• Strong understanding of wholesale power market fundamentals and commercial drivers of structured energy deals.
• Commercial mindset with solid analytical abilities and the capacity to manage multiple workstreams independently.
• Motivation to develop a client‑facing role and build a personal network over time.
• Willingness to travel 1‑2 days per week as the coverage expands.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.

• Proficiency with CRM systems for pipeline management and reporting.
