Lab Manager and Research Administrator

About the role

Serac Biosciences AG is seeking a motivated Lab Manager and Research Administrator to support its early‑stage drug discovery program. The role combines laboratory operations, procurement, and administrative support to keep the research environment efficient and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Set up lab infrastructure, manage data processes and ensure compliance with biosafety and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate research projects, manage resources, and oversee compound storage and logistics with CROs.
• Implement procurement strategy, handle purchase orders, vendor contracts, stock management and invoice reconciliation.
• Support budget planning, track expenses, identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide administrative assistance such as calendar management and onboarding.

Required profile

• Apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or Business Administration.
• Previous lab‑manager experience, preferably in biopharma.
• Excellent written and verbal English; German is a plus.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and proactive mindset with ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat for document handling.
