Lead Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Lead to design and deliver modern data platforms built on Snowflake. You will shape the technical architecture, build scalable solutions and help customers transform business requirements into production‑ready data and AI platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Snowflake data platforms and migrations.
• Build production data pipelines using SQL, Python, Snowpark and dbt.
• Develop AI/ML use cases with Snowflake Cortex and Snowpark ML.
• Own data modelling, governance, security, performance and cost optimisation.
• Automate deployments with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Integrate enterprise sources such as SAP, CRM and streaming platforms.
• Support presales through workshops, PoCs and solution design.
• Coach colleagues and contribute to technical best practices.

Required profile

• 6+ years of data engineering experience, preferably in consulting.
• Proven Snowflake delivery experience in a technical‑lead or senior engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning and cost optimisation.
• Fluent in German and English with strong communication skills.
