Lead Financial Auditor – Financial Processes

About the role

MSC is seeking a Lead Financial Auditor to oversee financial processes and ensure compliance across its global operations. You will work closely with senior management and cross‑functional teams to detect and prevent fraud while strengthening internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial audits in line with regulatory standards and MSC internal policies.
• Investigate potential financial fraud, irregularities, and discrepancies using SAP and other tools.
• Analyse large data sets to identify patterns of fraudulent activity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement effective fraud‑prevention measures.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5‑8 years of experience in financial auditing, preferably with a focus on fraud or forensic accounting.
• Experience in the shipping industry is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and fluency in English; French or Spanish a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP and other financial software.
• Ability to work with big data and perform data‑driven analysis.
