About the role

PAVE Space is looking for its first in‑house lawyer to take ownership of all contract and legal matters as the company scales its LYOBA launch system. You will work on‑site in Villeneuve, clearing a backlog of supplier agreements and NDAs while establishing a sustainable legal process.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redline, and negotiate supplier contracts and NDAs, keeping them moving efficiently.
• Create and maintain clean contract templates and a simple, repeatable contract workflow.
• Answer day‑to‑day legal questions from engineers, founders, and other team members.
• Maintain internal legal hygiene: record‑keeping, signatures, and compliance basics.
• Provide first‑pass support on export‑control and dual‑use issues, escalating complex matters to founders or external counsel.

Required profile

• Comfortable working solo as the only lawyer on‑site, with good judgment on what to handle versus what to escalate.
• Several years of hands‑on contract work, able to own the full contract lifecycle.
• Organised and able to keep a personal pipeline tidy without external prompting.
• Fluent in English and French; will work with French‑speaking suppliers and authorities.
• Qualified in Swiss law or solid grounding in Swiss and EU commercial law.
