Legal Counsel – Zurich

About the role

Huawei is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Zurich office. The role supports the company’s ICT, consumer and telecom operations by providing legal advice, reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with Swiss law.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate commercial contracts, including purchase and sales agreements.
• Interpret Swiss legislation relevant to ICT, consumer business and related activities.
• Advise internal teams on compliance matters such as labor law, competition law and trade secrets.
• Handle simple court cases or official investigations.
• Support data‑protection activities, including GDPR and DPO related matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an in‑house legal counsel or as a lawyer in a law firm.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Professional, dynamic and motivated to work in the ICT sector.
• Experience with commercial, technology, regulatory and compliance law.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Swiss commercial and technology law.
• Understanding of GDPR and data‑protection requirements.
