Legal Office Internship – UN Office at Geneva

About the role

The Legal Liaison Office at the United Nations Office at Geneva is looking for a motivated graduate or undergraduate student to join as a legal intern. This 3‑6 month placement offers hands‑on experience in international law projects, research, and communications within a prestigious multilateral environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing materials for the 60th anniversary of the International Law Seminar in 2026, including research and potential publication.
• Develop and update website content and presentations.
• Manage content on the Drupal CMS, handling layout builders and publishing cycles.
• Create visual assets using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
• Support other tasks assigned by the Chief of the Legal Liaison Section.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a law programme (bachelor, master or Ph.D.).
• Final‑year university student or recent graduate meeting UN internship eligibility.
• Strong interest in international law and legal research.
• Fluency in English and/or French, with good knowledge of the other language.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Drupal CMS.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Advanced skills in Canva for visual design.
