Local Division Controller – Motion Traction

About the role
ABB is seeking a Local Division Controller for its Motion Traction Division in Switzerland. You will lead the finance and controlling agenda for a USD 400 million business, acting as a trusted partner to the Local Division Manager and Management Team.
Key responsibilities
- Own forecasting, budgeting and financial planning for the Swiss Local Division in line with ABB standards.
- Provide transparent, accurate financial reporting and proactive scenario analysis for a USD 400 million business.
- Monitor and optimise key financial and operational metrics across all four Traction Business Lines.
- Drive projects, tender reviews, investment evaluations and business case development.
- Ensure compliance with ABB internal controls and US GAAP requirements.
- Lead continuous‑improvement, digitalisation and standardisation initiatives in controlling processes.
- Develop and support the local controlling team while contributing to global best‑practice sharing.
Required profile
- University degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business controlling or a comparable finance function.
- Proven people‑leadership experience in a matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Fluent in English and German with excellent communication abilities.
