Logistics and Distribution Buyer

About the role

The Logistics and Distribution Buyer will support the EMEA Indirect Procurement team, ensuring uninterrupted supply of quality logistics services at optimal cost. This role focuses on implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for logistics & distribution, achieving cost reductions and service quality improvements.
• Lead or support category managers in sourcing events, market analysis, and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor market conditions, identify new suppliers, and manage contracts through legal and system implementation.
• Track savings, report against KPIs, and continuously improve procurement processes and IT solutions.
• Collaborate with strategic business partners to understand requirements and support business outcomes.

Required profile

• University degree or apprenticeship in a procurement‑related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in logistics services (3PL, freight forwarding, OTR, LTL, FTL, parcel, air/ocean freight, e‑commerce fulfillment, omnichannel, warehousing).
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, and adapt to fast‑changing projects.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Understanding of logistics services and warehousing/distribution processes.
• Experience with e‑sourcing solutions (preferred).
