Logistics Operations Lead – BioLOG (80-100%)

About the role

The Logistics Operations Lead for BioLOG is responsible for the daily management and monitoring of all logistics processes at the Visp site, ensuring compliance with GMP and GDP standards. The role acts as the central interface between operations, quality, planning, engineering, EHS and logistics management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the logistics team through training, coaching and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Plan resources, manage absences and support employee development to maintain operational flexibility.
• Coordinate inbound, sampling, production supply and outbound logistics with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee receipt, booking, sampling, storage and accurate SAP EWM transaction handling.
• Ensure timely material supply to production, stock control and information flow between warehouses and production.
• Guarantee on‑time, GDP‑compliant order shipments, including picking, packing and documentation.
• Manage freight forwarding activities for the Visp plant.
• Drive process optimisation through Kaizen meetings and implement efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• European Logistics degree (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar logistics role, preferably in a multinational pharmaceutical environment.
• LBMS Green Belt certification.
• Strong project and programme management experience with senior stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent analytical abilities and familiarity with business‑intelligence tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation.
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
