Logistics Specialist – Zurich

About the role

Coherent Corp. Zurich is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support the flow of materials, products, and equipment across its manufacturing and supply‑chain operations. This hands‑on position focuses on warehouse activities, international shipments, customs processes, and inventory management, ensuring timely and compliant movement of highly sensitive products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse tasks such as order picking, incoming and outgoing goods inspection, and loading/unloading deliveries.
• Coordinate international customer shipments of sensitive products and equipment.
• Supply materials to production and support distribution throughout the company.
• Pack equipment and prepare customer shipments according to quality and transportation requirements.
• Manage equipment calibrations, repairs, and customer returns (RMA).
• Handle import and export procedures, including customs documentation and shipment coordination.
• Support warehouse inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Store and handle dangerous goods in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling management activities.

Required profile

• Completed Swiss logistics apprenticeship (Logistiker EFZ) or technical vocational training with several years of logistics experience.
• Professional experience in logistics within an international manufacturing environment.
• Experience importing and exporting complex machinery and components.
• Native‑level German and good written and spoken English.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
