Material Planning Expert – Europe

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a HUB Material Planner for the insulation and components product line. You will work with six factories across Europe to ensure smooth material flow, develop forecasting routines, and support the S&OP process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardise forecasting and material planning processes at product‑line level, balancing short‑, mid‑ and long‑term demand.
• Act as the operational support for S&OP, translating demand plans into feasible supply and replenishment plans while assessing risks.
• Strengthen factory planning capabilities using MRP systems to secure material availability.
• Support factories in maintaining purchasing parameters in ERP and improving internal replenishment methods.
• Define performance indicators, drive digitalisation (e.g., POWERBI) and automate KPI reporting.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material management, replenishment or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in multinational environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
